Well, you all know the saying- new year, new groovy events coming your way. If January blues are kicking in and revision is getting you down, allow us to give you a sneak peak of Dig Deep and their latest fundraising effort which is sure to make those exams seem a whole lot rosier.
Yes, that’s right, on the 19th of January get yourselves down to Indigo, as Dig Deep present DIG DEEP VOL.3. It’s promising to be one funky night full of dance, disco, and groove as Karma Kid goes back to back with Hawwis. And, as usual, the best part is that they’re raising money for charity while they’re at it.
At a disgustingly cheap £3 on the door, it won’t even make a dent in your student loan, so there’s absolutely no excuse for getting those dancing shoes on. Having already raised hundreds of pounds for Mustard Tree, all proceeds from this event will be donated to The Alzheimer’s Society. Indigo is even agreeing to donate 10% of the bar takings- and if that’s not an excuse to give up dry January and get a few bevs in, I don’t know what is.
Charitable actions don’t just extend to putting on club nights (a shocker I know), so if you want more information about Alzheimers, Dig Deep will be posting links and resources on the Dig Deep Facebook page in the run-up to their event.
In their early stages, Dig Deep is already putting on some stellar events. They’re hoping to expand this venture by becoming a community engagement group, putting some money back into the group to throw bigger and better bashes each time. If you fancy helping out with their project, they’re currently looking for artists to design artwork for a charity auction for their first birthday (definitely not copying ArtBox, just saying) and are also looking for DJs and venues to get involved with their upcoming nights. If this sounds like your kinda thing, head on over to their Facebook page, or give them an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
