EVENT PREVIEW: ArtBox Silent Art Auction/Exhibition

ArtBox is Funraising’s first solo event. We will be holding a silent art auction in aid of Manchester Mind, an amazing mental health charity which aims to help those in the local area. Sadly, the charity has said that they no longer have the funding to provide free counselling for those who need it. This seems shocking, yet it’s a cruel reality that many organisations simply don’t have the resources to be able to provide the guidance that so many are in need of. So, we’re stepping up and are determined to help, but we can’t do it alone.

ArtBox, as we’re calling it, will take place on the 14th of December at Solomon’s Cafe Bar in Withington, South Manchester between 5:30 pm and 9:30 pm. Here we will be showcasing a plethora of raw talent including art and poetry from a diverse group of artists who are working with the theme of ‘emotion’. This theme aims to demonstrate the ongoing relevance of mental health issues and works to express this through the beautiful medium of original artwork.

After the auction, we will be holding an afterparty. PostBox is running at Indigo, also in Withington and will be there between the hours of 9:30 pm and 2 am providing the tunes and the vibes for a cool night.

Take the ‘silent’ element of the auction lightly as we have sourced local jazz bands and DJs to feature for you at both ArtBox and PostBox, and the afterparty will involve intricate projection mapping displays. Both your eyes and ears are in for a treat. You won’t want to miss our bespoke event tailored to the needs and the wants of the people of Manchester.

We want to make the ArtBox experience an optimal one, so if you want to help us do that then please chuck us a couple of quid here.

For more details head to the ArtBox event page. And if you want a bit of a party, have a look at PostBox’s, too.
