Do you feel like February’s gone on forever? Are you sick and tired of weather being in the minus degrees? Are you posting Instas of yourself on the beach with captions like ‘missing this x’? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, Pollen8 Events has got the perfect event lined up for you.
This Saturday the 3rd of March, Pollen8 are bringing a true beach paradise to 256 with ‘A Day at the Beach’, a Fallowfield day festival, with all profits from the day going to Maggie’s Cancer Care Centre Manchester. Not only are they bringing a barbeque, raffle, records, games, and glitter; they’re also bringing some of Manchester’s top DJs to bring you twelve hours of partying.
Featuring LEVELZ’s own Metrodome, High Hoops, BLOOM, and more, this is certainly a party you want to be at. With genres ranging from house to hip-hop to techno to afrobeat, there’s going to be something for everyone. It’s also going to be spread across two stages, both indoor and outdoor, so if you don’t fancy hanging around in the snow outside you don’t have to! For the full lineup of all the acts playing, check out the event page here.
Better still, it’s also insanely cheap, with tickets ranging from £3-£5 so that you’ll definitely have enough money left over to treat yourself to as much glitter and as many wavey garms as you can get your hands on.
Pollen8 have been working with MMU and Maggie’s Cancer Care Centre since September to realise their dreams of putting on music events that also raise money for charity. Having already put on two very successful events at Indigo and Cubo, you know that this one is gonna be a banger.
If this has made you long for your beach getaway, get yourselves down to 256 on Saturday from 3pm till 3am for one hell of a party.
